Trying to control my excitement

Wow, I'm feeling ecstatic! And it's not because I started my new job today. The last few weeks, I've been feeling pretty down since I've been sending out a lot of resumes and equally as many cover letters only to receive absolutely no response back. (Phase two was walking into galleries and straight up giving them my resume in person.) Anyway, I finally got two replies today...and I'm excited to see how it goes! I know they don't mean very much yet, but just finally receiving responses after weeks of silence...gives me the hope that I can keep soldiering on. Yay, optimism!.

Also, the person I'm replacing next week at my new job introduced me to some really awesome dance videos on youtube. I never held much appreciation for ballet, but I've absolutely been reformed, and now I'm excited to take classes! (Likely to happen in the winter when I know my schedule better, but...exciting nonetheless.)

I don't think I've smiled this much in a while, definitely not since summer camp ended and I lost my little kiddies. In honor of that though :) :) :)

Today

A stressful week (so far) at work led me to go on a mini spend-a-thon, investing in some plain pleasures to make it through the week. Sandals, new bedsheets, the nytimes and a dinner for just me...I feel relaxed, and ready to pursue older habits.
